Jonny Watts, CEO of Frontier Developments, said:

When we launched our third-party publishing strategy in 2019, we were drawn to the opportunity to more formally engage our development partners from Frontier Foundry through an acquisition. Our collaboration with Complex Games on Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters has been great and I’m thrilled to welcome Noah and his team to Frontier to help our development team in Manitoba, Canada grow and expand. This is the first acquisition of Frontier and we will continue to explore opportunities to increase Frontier’s resources to continue to develop and strengthen our catalog.

Acquisition that marks the history of Frontier Developments

The first acquisition of an external studio by Frontier Developments, this operation is part of the company’s growth and expansion logic, while enriching Frontier Developments’ flagship game catalog and establishing a development center in Manitoba, a Canadian province that has a wide range of talent when it comes to video game development. Complex Games is to share its experience with Games Workshop’s Warhammer license to develop the strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
