Apple has launched a pair of new GarageBand remix sessions featuring K-pop supergroup Seventeen and American singer-songwriter Katy Perry.

  • What is happening? Apple has released two new remix sessions for its GarageBand app, featuring content from K-pop sensation Seventeen and American singer-songwriter Katy Perry, whose 2019 single “Harleys in Hawaii”was a huge success thanks to TikTok.
  • Why care? Do you like Katy Perry’s music? How about k-pop? If you answered yes to any question and are a GarageBand user, you won’t want to miss this question.
  • What to do? Update your copy of the app, then use the Sound Library section to find and download the latest remix sessions (and other content).

Apple Launches Two New GarageBand Remix Sessions

To remix Katy Perry’s “Harleys in Hawaii”or Seventeen’s “Darl+ing”, update GarageBand on your device to the latest version, then go to Sound Library to download new remixes for free.

Remix Sessions teaches you how to mix famous tracks from today’s top artists, and includes step-by-step video tutorials from Apple Creative Pro Blake. The Live Loops app interface helps a lot with this because it breaks down the key components of a song into a series of loops that you can mix like a pro while keeping everything in tempo and key sync.

Plus an accompanying “Today at Apple”session.

According to an announcement in the Apple Newsroom, the Cupertino giant has prepared a new free Today at Apple session called “Music Skills: Katy Perry Remix”that is now available at the company’s retail stores worldwide. In the session, people will show you how to remix “Harleys in Hawaii”in GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS. You can register for this session through the Today at Apple homepage.

How to update GarageBand

GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS is available for free [ App Store link ].

Tap your profile picture in the App Store on iPhone or iPad, then scroll down to check for available updates. If you see GarageBand as pending update, click the Update button to update the app immediately.

However, if you don’t see updates, this device may have automatic updates enabled. The option to automatically download and install application updates usually delivers updates in stages to minimize the impact of potential software bugs.

If automatic app updates are disabled, we recommend that you try downloading the update manually. Just use the App Store search feature on your device to get to the GarageBand page. From there, see if you can update the app. If not, then the update is not currently available on your local app store.
