Motorola is gearing up for the global launch of its new premium smartphone. The company launched the Edge X30 in China as the first smartphone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The same smartphone will launch outside of China on February 24 as the Moto Edge 30 Pro.

Motorola’s flagship smartphone is expected to be released with some minor changes. As we previously reported, the Edge 30 Pro global model will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, compared to the Chinese variant which has a side scanner. Motorola will launch its first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC outside of China on February 24, called the Moto Edge 30 Pro. Ahead of the launch, tipster Yogesh Brar listed the phone’s full specs.

The leaker claims that Motorola’s flagship will feature an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches and Full HD + resolution. According to previously leaked design renders, the global variant will have a cutout in the top center for the front camera. Brar claims that the company will use the 60-megapixel front camera sensor on the Edge 30 Pro for selfies.

As previously mentioned, the phone will feature a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It will come paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The company may launch a higher memory variant for some markets.

There is a triple camera on the back of the phone. It will be equipped with a 50MP main camera sensor. The device will also feature a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The flagship smartphone will run Android 12 out of the box. It will have a MyUX layer on top of Android.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging out of the box. It will have up to 13 5G bands and also support WiFi 6E. Pricing details are currently under wraps.
