Google Home can make managing your to-dos a lot easier
The Google Home digital voice assistant can help you with grocery shopping, manage your daily list, voice or not, and even go all the way to ordering.
Shopping can turn into a nightmare. Between full parking lots, rush hours, lines, limited supplies, and other fun stuff, it’s hard to blame those who can’t take it anymore. Google Home has several tools that you can use, including a voice assistant, of course, to make things easier.
The two main features are shopping list management, which is completely voice-driven, and Google Shopping, formerly Google Express, which seamlessly integrates into Google Home.
These tricks may seem simple, but once you start using them, you’ll find that they make shopping less chaotic, especially if you’re the type of person who likes things to go smoothly.
Easily manage your shopping list
Google can manage lists of everything, but today we’ll focus on shopping lists. You can create a list on your Google Home device or with the Assistant in the Google Home app.
Through your Google Home device
Say “OK Google, create a shopping list”or name it whatever you like. Google must confirm that it has created the list and ask you what you would like to add to it.
You can add items now or later, or manually through the app if you forgot your eggs, for example. Then you can say, “OK Google, what’s on my shopping list?”and Google will contact you.
Through the Google Home app
- Open the Google Home app.
- Click on the microphone.
- Say “Start a shopping list”or “Start a list”(Google will ask you what you want to name it.)
- Add whatever you want, by voice or by hand, and ask Google what’s on your list.
Delete item
Sorry, but “OK Google, remove 10 packs of Curly from my shopping list”doesn’t work. You must access the shopping list through the Google Home app and delete them manually.
The Google app shopping list is the most reliable way to remember something before you go shopping, but you can also buy directly.
To do this, open the list manually in the Google Home app. At the bottom of the screen, click “Buy”and you will be taken to Google Shopping.
Shop with Google Shopping
You can buy almost anything through Google Shopping, formerly Google Express. There is no subscription fee, but you will have to pay the shipping cost of the store. Sometimes a store offers free shipping if your order reaches a certain amount. You can make a purchase by voice through Google Home or on the website. The operation is very similar.
The Google Shopping site works like any e-commerce site. You search for what you want, add to cart and proceed to checkout. You will be presented with many personalized offers based on your purchase history.
You also have easy access to your shopping lists, you can reorder items, order status and history, and even switch between accounts.
Buy with Google Home by voice
Start with “OK Google, buy toilet paper from Carrefour”(or any other store of your choice). Google will bring up a list of different brands, prices, and stores of toilet paper, and you can choose by saying yes or no. Once you’ve made your decision, Google will ask you if there’s anything else you want. If you say “No, pay,”Google will send a summary to your phone so you can check and proceed with checkout.
Buy on the Google Home app
The operation is similar to a voice purchase, but this time you have a visual addition. Open the Google Home app and tap the microphone. You can chat directly with Google or click on tooltips. When it suits you.
