Google starts selling Pixel 6 in Italy and Spain

After announcing record sales of the Google Pixel 6, the company is slightly expanding distribution of its flagship smartphone. The Google Store now sells the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in Italy and Spain, bringing the Pixel 6’s total country distribution from nine to 11.

A Google Italy blog post quotes Michiel van Eldyk, Google’s VP of Devices and Services EMEA: “Due to high demand for Pixel 6 devices combined with global supply chain issues, we are launching a limited number of devices and expect to sell quickly. “. Italy and Spain are only getting 128GB versions of both phones, and they come in whatever color you want, as long as it’s black. Elsewhere, the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro phone is available in white, green, yellow, and red with 256GB and 512GB storage options, but all are limited due to supply issues.

Launching in Singapore and distributing in 12 countries would be the normal distribution area for Pixel phones. Google Hardware’s biggest hardware problem is that it still doesn’t sell smartphones in most parts of the world. Samsung and Apple sell their flagships in more than 100 countries, so Google is still playing child pool compared to its main competitors. Google’s other major smartphone, the Pixel 5a, has actually taken a drastic step back and is only available in two countries: the US and Japan.
