Hot double: scandalous romance between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard filmed in a feature film

The libel lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will be highlighted in the TV movie Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial.

Actor Mark Hapka (Altergeist, Parallels, Days of Our Lives) plays Johnny Depp, and Megan Davis (Bones, Alone in the Dark, American Horror Story) plays Amber Heard in Hot Take: Trial of Depp and Heard. It is scheduled to premiere on September 30 on Tubi, Fox’s streaming platform. Melissa Marty (Precinct 19, Asylum, Dangerous Company) will join the cast as Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s attorney, and Mary Carrig (Law & Order, True Crime, Worst Birthday Ever), Betrayed) will play Elaine Bredehof, Amber Heard’s lawyer.

A controversial defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is the subject of a new film, Hot Take: The Trial of Depp and Heard, which will debut exclusively on Tubi.

The film stars Mark Hapka as Depp and Megan Davis as Heard.

Written by Guy Nicolucci (The Daily Show) and directed by Sarah Loman (Secrets in the Woods), Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial is about the tumultuous relationship—in and out of court—between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard. in a mock libel trial that lasted two months. The TV movie is being produced by Brittany Clemons, Angie Day, Marianne S. Wunch, Hanna Pilemer and Fernando Shew. Autumn Federici and Christifor Cvidetich are the producers of The Ninth House.
