Gotham Knights: How to Defeat Mr. Freeze

Gotham Knights features a wide variety of villains from Batman’s Rogue Gallery. Even though you will encounter several chaotic villains, Mr. Freeze is the most intimidating of them all. You will encounter Victor Fries, also known as Mister Freeze, on several occasions. With Batman dead, Freeze returns to Gotham to heal himself, wreaking havoc and chaos beforehand. How to Beat Mr. Freeze in Gotham Knights (Tips)

You will encounter Mr. Freeze two times as you progress through Gotham Knights. Be sure to choose a character that has more skills and abilities unlocked. While you can choose any of the four characters, we suggest choosing Batgirl for this boss fight. In any case, don’t forget to equip cryogenic-resistant equipment and ranged weapons for any character.

So let’s take a closer look at both boss fights.

Mr. Freeze Boss Fight 1

You will encounter this boss quite early in the game during chapter 1.4. The case file states that you must be at least level 10 to 13 when fighting him. And you can start from the first fight by connecting a field disruptor to his weather machine. So, here are some tips and strategies to defeat Mr. Freeze in Gotham Knights:

• For most of the fight, Freeze used his pistol to fire a beam. While doing this, you should keep attacking him with ranged weapons.
• If the beam hits you, it can freeze and stun you for a while. So keep running as he shoots around.
• You can also use Freeze by sliding under his exploded beams and attacking him.
• Instead of cryogenic attacks, attack him with fire attacks, as he is weak to these attacks. He can also use a couple of melee attacks, but they are pretty easy to dodge.
• Apart from the Cryo Canon pistol, he also has a few tricks up his sleeve.
• Freeze can also trigger cryogenic area attacks when he slams into the ground with his weapon.
• We suggest keeping a great distance against him. Stay away from frosty honeycomb AoE attacks on the ground.

• His other AoE attack consists of ice spikes around his position.
• These ice spikes can act as a shield for him as you cannot attack him until they are gone. This way you can use ranged attacks to damage him.

As soon as you lower his health, a cut-scene will play, which will end the fight.

Mr. Freeze Boss Fight 2 in Gotham Knights

You will meet him a second time in Blackgate Prison in chapter 1.6. This boss fight will be much harder than the previous one due to his equipped Mecha Freeze. So, here are some tips and tricks to defeat him:

• You need to take extra precautions against Freeze due to his mechanical metal machine. With mechanical equipment, he can control territory exceptionally better than in the previous fight.
• To avoid his AoE attacks, don’t step on the indicated red marks on the ground. When you stand on them, his suit can fire multiple projectiles at once.
• For most of the fight, keep attacking his mechanical legs until they turn yellow. You then need to keep shooting at them until they turn red to deal extra damage.
• You also fight him at close range, but be sure to dodge his mechanical legs. As in the previous fight, dealing fire damage will prove to be effective.
• Once you get denied by Grapple Away, Freeze can unleash a massive AoE attack that can cover the entire arena. Therefore, try not to miss the warning, as it may defeat you.

• We suggest equipping 10-15 healing kits only when needed. For the entire fight, you will need several healing packs to survive.

Upon completion of the fight, a cut-scene will play, which will end his arc in Gotham Knights.
