Gran Turismo 7: Polyphony Digital Unveils 30 Minutes of 4K Gameplay
A new episode of the Sony PlayStation State of Play shows the game mechanics of Gran Turismo 7.
Celebrating automotive culture in our time is the mission of Gran Turismo 7, which exudes a passion for cars and simulation. Japanese studio Polyphony Digital wants to inspire gamers to be a part of it, whether they’re interested in racing, sightseeing, photography, livery design, tuning or car collecting.
Key elements of Gran Turismo 7
- Musical Rally: An arcade racing game where you listen to fast-paced motivating music and try to reach the checkpoints before time runs out. For new players, it is also a way to experience GT driving simulator gameplay and the ability to set their own type of steering and pedaling, as well as driver assistance presets (automatic braking, braking zones, trajectories, etc.)
- Buy a car: The world map serves as the backbone in the GT7 paradise world. Your first task will be to use your in-game credits to purchase a used car of your choice. With your new car in hand, you will need to go to the garage and then head to the cafe.
- Cafe: A cozy place that offers “menu books”for activities to get new cars and other accessories to help you progress in GT7. The first book of the menu asks for three Japanese compact cars. You will earn them in certain races listed in the menu book. Go to these races thanks to part of the World Circuit zone, get to the right place (3rd place or higher in this particular case) and your collection will start to grow
- Permit Center: This includes serious driving challenges for GT veterans around the world. It’s not that hard to get a basic B license, so this time even novice players can handle it to get a B license. By getting A, B licenses (and others), you’ll learn valuable tricks that you can use. apply throughout the journey in GT7
- Tuning and Tuning: Once you have a few cars and new abilities in your garage, the cafe menu will direct you to a brand new tuning workshop. As you can imagine, this place is full of components of all shapes and sizes (check out some of them in the full video on demand), and many more will be unlocked as you play. As you get new cars, you’ll show off your Collector Level, and at level 4, you’ll unlock the Club Sports category in the Tuning Shop. So race, collect, open, brew… Whatever you do, you will most likely advance in another element of the game. The cafe menu will also direct you to new areas and modes, so completing them to enjoy the sights and sounds of GT7 might be a good idea. You can experience all of this content with just a few hours of gameplay (depending on race wins, completion of the menu book, and more), and after a while, you’ll be able to compete in a special High Speed Championship Ring. Which will open the doors to Brand Central, where you can buy brand new cars from 50 car manufacturers and tuners.
