GTA Online is giving away a special gift of GTA$500,000 to all players who log in before December 2nd

Rockstar Games and the GTA franchise in particular have been through some tough weeks, but in the spirit of the holiday season, GTA Online is giving away a ton of cash to players – GTA$500K to be exact. By simply logging into Grand Theft Auto Online at any time this week through December 2nd, players will be rewarded with $500,000 in their Maze bank account within 72 hours.

That’s not all, as the valuable panther statue is back in the safe in the Cayo Perico heist as the main target. Essentially, this means that players will be able to scout the Panther Statue as a primary objective on their first playthrough of the Cayo Perico heist. The statue will not return when you play it again.

Double GTA$ & RP events this week include the return of the Overtime Rumble, Welcome Party and Weed Killer alongside Kart Krash: Full Auto. Superyacht Life missions will also earn players double the regular GTA$ and RP, so yacht owners are in luck this week. As with most weekly updates, this week’s free cosmetic includes the Still Slipping Friend Tee, which will be added to the player’s wardrobe for free this week in GTA Online.

The rumor mill suggests that Rockstar is planning a big update for GTA Online that could include music or even an appearance by Dr. Dre himself, and is apparently codenamed “Fixers”. It will be interesting to see what new things Rockstar is working on when it comes to Grand Theft Auto Online, and whether the next-gen version is impressive enough to turn public opinion back in the publisher’s favor.
