GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition Update 1.02 fixes a number of issues in all three games
As for GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition on launch day, things aren’t going as planned at Rockstar Games, but the publisher says the games will improve over time. To that end, Rockstar delivered on its promise with a major update that fixes a number of issues across all three games, including a much-needed fix for blinding rain.
The latest update 1.02 is available now for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, with both general fixes and updates for specific games and platforms.

General – All Platforms
- Fixed several localization issues
- Fixed several cases of missing or offset collisions.
- Fixed multiple hole instances on the map
- Fixed several instances of incorrect or misplaced textures
- Fixed several cases of camera clipping through objects.
- Fixed several cases of displaying incorrect subtitles.
- Fixed several instances of incorrect help text being displayed.
Grand Theft Auto III – Definitive Edition
- Fixed issues with blurry frames and camera transitions during the Grand Theft Aero cutscene.
- Fixed an issue that caused Pay ‘N’ Spray doors to close preventing the player from entering
- Fixed an issue that caused game stalls and props to appear in the Gone Fishing cutscene.
- Fixed an issue that caused the player to fail the Vora mission with the message “The thief is dead”after playing a cutscene.
- Fixed issue with Last Requests mission failing due to Asuka falling from the boat.
- Fixed a missing GPS route when driving Curly Bob in a taxi during the Cutting The Grass mission.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Definitive Edition
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from panning the camera up or down while moving at high speeds.
- Fixed an issue that caused the fire engine lights to flash inconsistent colors.
- Fixed an issue with displaying the GPS route during an Autocide mission.
- Fixed an issue that caused Pay ‘N’ Spray doors to close preventing the player from entering
- Fixed display issue with multiple GPS routes during Gun Runner and Psycho Killer missions.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Hit Rate UI to display incorrectly during a Gun Runner mission.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Definitive Edition
- Fixed an issue with rain visual effects.
- Fixed an issue that caused the camera to rotate rapidly when completing or failing a Blood Bowl.
- Fixed an issue that caused the camera to be positioned incorrectly when returning to gameplay after finding Sweet in the Family Reunion mission.
- Fixed an issue that caused the bridge in Flint County to be invisible.
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to equip weapons while swimming, which could cause problems with weapons passing through the character’s body.
