Halo Infinite Adds Special Slayer Playlist
Halo Infinite offers up a Slayer playlist in anticipation of co-op play and the Forge campaign.
Halo can easily be mentioned among the most symbolic licenses of the Xbox platform. The saga hasn’t stopped winning over players since the early 2000s. Opus after opus, it’s a real pleasure to explore the universe in this huge conflict between four great factions such as the UNSC, the Covenant, the Parasites, and the Forerunner Civilization. Halo Infinite is no exception, fans are thrilled despite some shortages right now.
Halo Infinite is getting a Slayer playlist
One of the best – or at least the most popular – multiplayer game mode is coming to Halo Infinite sooner than you think. Indeed, as announced by Windows Central, 343 Industries community director Brian Jarrard confirmed that today, Tuesday, December 14th, a dedicated Slayer playlist will be coming as part of the update. This is the “basic”mode, not the options that 343 Industries wants to launch after the holiday season, but the developers plan to “strengthen and expand”this functionality in the future.
This Slayer playlist comes along with three other long-promised options, namely Fiesta, FFA and Tactical Slayer (SWAT). Today’s update will also remove or at least simplify the prerequisites for existing challenges while adding new ones for these new playlists. There is also a new category of challenges based on player ratings to better reflect your performance in the game. Please note that this is only the “first step”towards the scoring system. The performance-based ones are much more efficient and realistic, so to speak.
in anticipation of the co-op and the Forge campaign
While this update and these new features are indeed welcome, they will likely not satisfy fans who have been waiting for other features that have been announced for a long time, such as the Co-op Campaign or Forge. They will appear no earlier than mid-2022. That being said, this release from the Slayer playlist shows 343 Industries doing their best to please fans, even if it means right now offering a few “small”extras while waiting for what everyone is expecting.
