Halo Infinite: Artistic Director Leaves 343 Industries
Nicolas Bouvier is no longer Artistic Director of Halo Infinite.
Although Paul Bertone recently joined 343 Industries as director of technical design, the American studio Microsoft is still losing an important element in its development team. So after more than a decade under license from Halo, artistic director Nicolas Bouvier finally wants to move on: “All good things come to an end. It was a hell of an adventure in which I loved every minute. I wish 343 Industries all the best, you are and always will be amazing.”
All good things come to an end. After close to 14 years on HALO, I have decided to pursue other opportunities outside Microsoft and 343 Industries. It’s been a hell of a ride, loved every minute of it. Wishing the absolute best to 343, you guys are and always will be amazing. pic.twitter.com/6mmQtvLTW7
The departure of Nicolas Bouvier says a lot about the current internal situation of 343 Industries. Far from being a real restructuring, this is a talent drain that has been orchestrated for over a year, as creative director Tim Longo, producer Mary Olson, director Chris Lee, multiplayer manager Andrew Witts, and designer Jerry Hook. The latter also repatriated former veterans of…343 Industries (Paul Crocker, Greg Stone, Steve Dyke) to found Jar of Sparks with Chinese giant NetEase.
Halo Infinite single player co-op mode
Delayed multiple times, Halo Infinite’s co-op mode will allow all players to play their own individual campaigns. In a development update last April, 343 Industries revealed that it was aiming for the end of August for the release of this long-awaited mode by licensed fans.
Players wishing to participate in the Co-Test will need to sign up for the Halo Insider program. Please note that Halo Infinite is released without the ability to replay campaign missions once they have been completed, unless users run a new save file.
