Xiaomi 12 display specs leaked ahead of launch: to reveal an AMOLED panel with a maximum brightness of 1600 nits and more

Xiaomi will introduce its new flagship smartphones in China later this year. The company will unveil the flagship Xiaomi 12 series in China on December 28. At least three premium smartphones are expected to be showcased at the event. These include vanilla 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The company has started teasing some of the key details and features of its upcoming flagship devices. The latest teaser revolves around the display features of the Xiaomi 12 series. Specifications of the Xiaomi 12 series display

The Xiaomi 12 series will come with top-notch displays. The company’s latest teaser confirms four such key features of the device. As expected from Xiaomi’s premium smartphone, the flagship series will feature an AMOLED display.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the display will feature a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is Corning’s most sophisticated offering for smartphone displays. It will have a peak brightness of 1600 nits, which is slightly less than the Mi 11 Ultra display with 1700 nits. Finally, the device received an A+ rating on DisplayMate.

The teasers also confirm that the device will feature a punch-hole display. There is a notch in the top center of the screen. According to reports, Xiaomi 12 will have a 6.2-inch screen while the Pro model will have a 6.67-inch display. The screen is slightly curved to provide an immersive viewing experience.

The company does not disclose other specifications. We can expect the devices to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The vanilla model could have support for 67W/100W fast charging, while the 12 Pro will likely support 120W fast charging. Both phones may come with a 50MP triple camera on the back.
