Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 specs leaked ahead of launch, claims 28-hour battery life, ANC and more
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is scheduled to launch in about a week, and by now we’ve already learned a lot about its design as well as pricing in leak reports. Now, a fresh tip from Twitter user Snoopy Tech has claimed to reveal all the key specs of the upcoming true wireless earbuds. The leak suggests a fairly gradual update to the Galaxy Buds 2 over its predecessors and is nothing special other than what we expected to see from Samsung’s latest earbuds.
According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) as well as an Ambient Noise Mode that will help you talk without having to remove your headphones. Wireless connectivity will be provided via Bluetooth 5.2, while audio quality support, Dolby certification or any additional audio enhancements have yet to be mentioned. It’s also unclear if the Galaxy Buds 2 will feature gesture-based controls and wear sensors to automatically pause and play music.
However, the leak claims that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will have a glossy finish and could have five color options at launch. In terms of battery life, the earbuds will apparently offer 18 hours of playback with active noise cancellation turned on, and five hours of playback through the earbuds. Without ANC, the headphones would last for 28 hours with eight hours of playback through headphones. The charging case will apparently have a 472mAh battery, while each earbud will have a 61mAh battery.
The charging case also supports Qi wireless charging and also supports fast charging of the earbuds. According to the advice, the headphones will provide 55 minutes of playback on a 5 minute charge. In terms of audio, the Galaxy Buds 2 will apparently have a dual speaker configuration, with a 6.5mm tweeter and an 11mm woofer in each driver. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 can also come with IPX7 splash and dust resistance, which contributes to durability for gym or outdoor use.
At the moment, prices are expected to be around 149 euros, although exact prices may vary. More details should appear soon, and its official launch is scheduled for a week.
