Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket to go on sale January 12

Huawei launched the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro phones back in July 2021. The brand recently added Huawei P50 Pocket to its clamshell phone lineup. All three phones are exclusive to the Chinese market for now. But that will change soon.

Now, Huawei Malaysia has revealed that the Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pocket will debut globally on January 12th. Take a look at the teaser below

The product pages for both devices of the Huawei P50 series are now available on the company’s website in Malaysia. The product pages also reveal the full specs of the upcoming phones. Based on the details mentioned, the global variant of Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pocket will have the same specifications as the Chinese variants.

Specifications and features of Huawei P50 Pro

The P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch in the center. The phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with an Adreno 660 GPU. It boots Android-based EMUI 12.

The P50 Pro comes with four rear modules including a 50MP main sensor with OIS. It also offers a 40MP mono camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP telephoto lens. For selfies, a 13-megapixel camera is offered. The device is equipped with a 4360mAh battery, 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The P50 Pro offers a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a stereo speaker setup, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It weighs 195 grams and is available in four color options: Pearl White, Charming Pink, Cocoa Gold and Golden Black.

Huawei P50 Pocket Specifications and Features

The P50 Pocket features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch in the center. The phone also offers a 1-inch round display with a pixel density of 328ppi and a refresh rate of 60Hz.

The P50 Pocket is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor and an Adreno 660 GPU. It offers up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device boots EMUI 12 based on Android.

The P50 Pocket offers a triple rear camera setup including a 40MP primary sensor. It is accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32-megapixel ultra-spectral camera. For selfies, a 10.7-megapixel camera is offered.

The P50 Pocket is equipped with a 4000mAh battery and supports 40W fast charging. It comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It weighs 190 grams and is available in black, white and gold.
