Game of Thrones: Kit Harington stars in Jon Snow spin-off
A Game of Thrones spin-off starring Jon Snow released at the end of the season as part of HBO’s plans.
Currently still in the research phase, the new HBO series Game of Thrones will be a direct sequel and will tell the post-Westerian story of Jon Snow, aka Aegon Targayen, with British comedian Kit Harington (The Eternals, Modern Love, Extrapolations)). For reference, in the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow learned his real name, making him a potential heir to the Iron Throne. In the last episode, he was banished from Westeros and traveled north of the Wall with the wildlings to leave his old life behind.

In recent years, the American channel HBO has mainly focused on prequels to the Game of Thrones license. One of them, Dragon House, is due to air this summer, and several others, including Dunk and Egg and Sea Serpent, are in the works. This shift in strategy also coincides with the recent merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery, which placed new leadership at the helm of HBO and other WarnerMedia divisions.
