Indiana Jones 5 to be John Williams’ last musical project

The American composer plans to retire after completing Indiana Jones 5 for producers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg and director James Mangold.

After more than six decades of music for Hollywood films, John Williams is putting the finishing touches on what could be his final film soundtrack: “I’m currently working on Indiana Jones 5, including Harrison Ford, who is younger than me,”announced it seems that this will be his last film. John Williams credits composing music as more than a job as his career progressed: “It gave me the ability to breathe and live and understand that there is more to life than bodily life. Not being religious, which I am not particularly, there is a spiritual life, an artistic life, a reality that goes beyond the ordinary of everyday life. Music can elevate the mind to a poetic level.
