The Internet Association will soon cease to exist
The Internet Association will disappear at the end of the year due to too much competition and loss of interest.
While all of these amazing tech giants do compete with each other in many industries, they have at least one common goal – to move the industry forward. It is for this reason that, despite differences and rivalries, many of these technology companies have come together to form the Internet Association, a collaboration that is now coming to an end.
The Internet association will disappear at the end of the year
That being said, it looks like this nine-year-old band will leave at the end of this year. For those who don’t know, the Internet Association is an association of many technology giants and the new technology industry such as Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Apple and others. Through this group, these technology companies can greatly influence, especially the US government, regarding certain aspects related to technology.
Between too much competition and losing interest
Unfortunately, rivalry between different members would be too important today, some companies have already left the Internet Association, and other members no longer seem to see any interest in being part of this association. Thus, the source said that Microsoft is one of the companies that feel that it is no longer beneficial for them to participate in this association, especially when you have to pay at least a million dollars a year to become a member.
If this dissolution is now confirmed and therefore now imminent, it is difficult at this stage to understand what implications and possible negative effects the disappearance of the Internet Association could have on the technology industry, whether in the United States or elsewhere. Be that as it may, the Internet Association will officially disappear at the end of this 2021. A new web page opens.
