The iPhone 13 mini is the last of Apple’s modern mini iPhones that still exist.
As expected, Apple didn’t announce the small screen iPhone 14 mini today.
Rumors have long circulated that Apple’s 5.4-inch phone was the best-selling model, despite its lower starting price and constant “where are all the good little phones”outraged by a small but vocal group of consumers and smartphone reviewers. In its place is the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, which combines the screen size and battery life of iPhone Pro Max phones with the smaller processor, display quality, and camera system of the standard iPhone 14 without adjectives.
Apple has also removed the iPhone 12 mini from its store. The company continues to sell the old iPhone 12 at a lower starting price of $599, but the mini model you could buy yesterday is no longer available. This means that the iPhone 13 mini is the last surviving model of Apple with a small screen in the style of the iPhone X.
Available starting at $ 59.9 for 128GB, the iPhone 13 mini still pairs well enough with other Apple offerings . It still has a better camera system than the iPhone SE and an A15 Bionic chip that’s only a small step down from the version Apple still uses in the iPhone 14. You don’t get the camera enhancements or emergency call features that Apple introduced in the iPhone 14. iPhone 14. iPhone 14, but in many ways it’s still a fast modern iPhone that will receive software updates for years to come.
However, it’s not a replacement for a brand new small-screen iPhone. If Apple’s mini design somehow survives, it could be a worthy replacement for the iPhone SE, which is almost the same size and weight as the iPhone mini but uses a smaller 4.7-inch screen, Touch ID fingerprint sensor. and an ancient design that goes back to the 2017 iPhone 8 (which itself was a slightly modified version of the 2014 iPhone 6). Given the mini’s apparent general unpopularity in the first place, the 6.1-inch version is probably a safer bet than the 5.4-inch version, but small-screen phone lovers can still hope. For now.
