iPhone 14 may start with less storage than usual
What if the iPhone 14 only offered 64GB of base storage? This is stated by analyst Jeff Pu.
Our electronic products and related technologies are developing at a very fast pace. Year after year, computers, smartphones, tablets, and other devices are becoming more powerful, smaller, more efficient, and more. Over the years, Apple has steadily increased the amount of base storage in its iPhones. There was a time when the Apple brand only offered 16GB of storage. Today, the Cupertino company has a minimum of 128 GB, which at one time was the maximum available. This may change with the release of the iPhone 14.
What if the iPhone 14 only offered 64GB of base storage?
According to a research note from Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, obtained by MacRumors, that could change with the arrival of the iPhone 14. Jeff Pu says that with this next generation, Apple will start offering less storage. More precisely, we could see the appearance of the iPhone 14 with “only”64 GB of internal memory.
This is reported by analyst Jeff Pu.
It’s hard to understand why Apple did this and decided to lower its storage options. It is also possible that this has something to do with the current global chip shortage. The Cupertino company could easily provide 64 GB solutions, but not so easily. Another clue, this could be a way for Apple to test customers, “make”them spend more. Indeed, those and those who find 64 GB too small should opt for the more expensive 256 GB option.
However, this information is not official. Therefore, we will take this as a mere rumor with disbelief. Hopefully this isn’t proven anyway, we can easily imagine the displeasure that such a decision would cause if the Cupertino company went down that path.
