iPhone SE, iPad Air, Mac Studio with M1 Ultra, studio display and everything that was presented during the Apple event

Apple at its first event of 2022 presented what we have been hearing for weeks. Yes, the iPhone SE is finally here. Alongside this, Apple also introduced a number of new products, including the iPad Air with M1, and the iPhone 13 received new green color options. In addition, the Cupertino giant also showed off its next generation chip, the M1 Ultra and Mac Studio based on the new chipset, as well as Studio Display for content creators.

In this post, we’ll break down Apple’s first major event products one by one.

iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE 2022

The all-new iPhone SE brings back an iconic iPhone 8-like design with a home button and Touch ID on the front. However, there are many upgrades and additions under the hood. The phone has the A15 Bionic chip, the same chipset used in the iPhone 13 series, and gets 5G support. It comes with a 4.7-inch display and is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance.

The new iPhone SE features a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and a host of camera-focused features such as Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Deep Fusion, and Portrait Mode.

The iPhone SE will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options starting at $575. It is available in Midnight, Starlight and (PRODUCT)RED. In India, consumers can pre-order the new iPhone starting this Friday (March 11) and it will be available from March 18.

iPhone 13 series gets new green color variant

As with the purple color of the iPhone 12 last year, Apple has announced a new green finish for all models in the iPhone 13 series. Pro models will now be available in an all-new Alpine Green color, while regular iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in a new green color.. There are no changes other than a new color option for the iPhone 13 series, which means no price change.

The iPhone 13 starts at $1,046 and the iPhone 13 mini starts at $876 for the 128GB model. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max start at $1570 and $1700. As with the iPhone SE, the new color options for iPhone 13 will be available for pre-order this Friday and will be available online and offline from March 18.

iPad Air with M1 chip

iPad Air becomes the latest Apple M1 silicone coated iPad. The new iPad Air also supports 5G and gets a Center Stage feature on the front camera. It features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a maximum brightness of 500 nits and Touch ID built into the iPad Air’s top button.

The new iPad Air also supports the second generation Apple Pencil. The iPad Air M1 starts at $719 for the 64GB Wi-Fi-only model, and cellular + Wi-Fi starts at $902. It is available in Space Grey, Starlight, Pink, Purple and Blue. The iPad Air is available for pre-order this Friday and will go on sale March 18.

Mac Studio with M1 Ultra and studio display

Apple then introduced the most advanced Mac Studio for creators, based on the all-new M1 Ultra and M1 Max. The company also announced a new Studio Display with a 27-inch Retina 5K display, a front-facing camera with Center Stage, and high-quality audio. However, the star of the show is the M1 Ultra chipset, the most powerful processor Apple has announced. During the keynote, Apple stated that the M1 Ultra has a 64-core GPU, which is 8 times the size of the M1.

Keep in mind that the M1 chip, as we have already seen on many Apple devices, is considered one of the capable processors. The company adds that the 32-core neural engine in the M1 Ultra performs up to 22 trillion operations per second, which is a crazy number to process. Apple also said that the new Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra chip can play up to 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video. Apple Mac Studio starts at $2485 and Studio Display starts at $2093. Both products will go on sale starting March 18 in select markets.
