Itel has released a new budget smartphone. The company launched the Itel A49, which came after the A48 and A47 were released earlier. A new budget smartphone costs less than $91. Itel claims that this device is the most affordable smartphone with a 6.6-inch HD+ teardrop notch.

Even though the A49 is an entry-level offering, it does have a fingerprint scanner. In addition, the phone has a 4000 mAh battery. The device, as expected, has a polycarbonate back panel. Let’s take a look at the Itel A49 price, specifications and other details.

Itel has launched the A49 as a new budget smartphone. The smartphone comes in a single storage configuration with 2GB of RAM. It costs $85 and offers 32GB of internal storage.

The phone is available in three color options: Crystal Purple, Dome Blue and Sky Cyan. As part of the launch offers, consumers can take advantage of a free, one-time broken screen replacement within 100 days of purchase.

Specifications and features

The A49 features a 6.6-inch display with a waterdrop notch at the top. It has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. As an entry-level offering, the phone supports a 60Hz refresh rate. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage up to 128GB using the microSD card slot.

The phone has a 4000 mAh battery. There is no talk of any support for fast charging. We expect the phone to support 5W/10W charging. Quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz. The exact name of the processor remains unknown. The phone runs Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. It comes with AI Face Unlock support and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

On the back is a pill-shaped camera module. It has a dual camera with LED flashes located inside the module. The phone is equipped with a 5 MP main camera and a VGA sensor.
