Jetpack Joyride 2 is an Apple Arcade exclusive, releasing August 19th.

The category of Endless Runner games is quite popular on mobile devices. Launched back in 2011, Jetpack Joyride is one of the most popular games out there. And for fans of the game, as well as those who subscribed to Apple Arcade, there is good news. Finally a sequel is coming out.

Even better news is that the upcoming sequel is coming out this month. In fact, August 19, 2022, according to The Verge. Jetpack Joyride 2 will bring back the same type of gameplay that made the first game so popular. This means that you will play as the main character, armed with a jetpack (and other items) and trying to score as many points as possible (and collect as many coins as possible) on each playthrough.

Interestingly, the Halfbrick Studios developers behind the game want to add a bit more story this time around. In fact, the developers say it’s a “story experience”from the get-go. That makes sense, if last year’s trailer for the game is any indication. You can see this in the video above.

If you haven’t played the original game by any chance but want to give it a try, Jetpack Joyride+ is available right now on Apple Arcade. It’s the same experience as the original game (which is also available on the App Store), but only available on Apple Arcade. This means it has no ads or in-app purchases.

Meanwhile, since Jetpack Joyride 2 will also be an Apple Arcade exclusive, that means the title won’t be weighed down with any ads or in-app purchases. However, Arcade requires a subscription, which costs $4.99 per month.
