How to Sync Google Contacts to iPhone or iPad
- Go to “Settings”→ “Contacts”.
- Click Accounts → Add Account.
- Select Google.
- Enter your email address or phone number → click next.
- Enter your password → click next.
- Confirm login if two-factor authentication is enabled → click Allow.
- Turn on Contacts and select Save.
All your Gmail contacts will be synced to your iPhone.
You can delete them or remove the added Google account by going to the same contacts settings. Also, if you’ve already set up a Google account, you just need to turn on the “Contacts”toggle to sync your Gmail contacts.
Set Default Gmail Contacts on iPhone

- After downloading the vCard file, sign in to your iCloud account using your Apple ID.
- Now open the Contacts app.
- Click on the “Settings”icon → select “Import vCard”.
- Select the downloaded vCard file. It will add your Google contacts to your iCloud account.
- On iPhone, go to Settings → your name.
- Tap iCloud → select Show All.
- Turn on contacts.
Now the Google contacts saved in your iCloud will be synced to your iPhone.
Why is my iPhone not syncing Gmail contacts?
If your Google account is not connected to your iOS device via SSL over SSL, your iPhone will not sync Google contacts. Follow these steps if you encounter iPhone not syncing Google Contacts error:
