You can fix your Apple TV sign-in issue by following these two simple solutions.
Let Apple TV recognize your passcode
You will most likely encounter the issue if you have two-factor authentication enabled on your PC. Try entering the verification code along with the password to resolve the issue. To do this, follow the steps given below:
- Enter your password on your Apple TV, but don’t sign in.
- Now open your iPhone or iPad and go to the Settings app on your iOS device.
- In the Settings app, go to iCloud and then tap Your iCloud. Then click on Password & Security and then on Get Verification Code.
- Now enter the verification code you received on your TV. For example, enter a password in a format like password654321 , where Password is your account password and 654321 is your verification code.
If this doesn’t work for you, try disabling two-factor authentication. First, check if the problem is fixed after disabling two-factor authentication. If the issue persists, make sure you enable two-factor authentication because your Apple ID will be less secure if two-factor authentication is disabled.
Restart/reboot your Apple TV
Another thing you can try is to reset your TV. Restarting your Apple TV helps resolve any issue you’re experiencing due to temporary errors. To restart your Apple TV, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Settings option on your Apple TV.
- In settings, go to General and select Restart.
- This will restart your TV and you should now be able to sign into your Apple TV.
