What is Screen Sharing in the Instagram App?

Screen sharing is a feature that allows a user to share content from their screen with other users. Simply put, the content on your screen can be streamed and viewed by other users in real time.

But before we move on, let’s remove the restrictions:

• This feature is only available for Instagram video calls, not for voice calls.
• It is only available on the Instagram app for iPhone and Instagram.
• You can only share your screen with 1 person on Instagram.
• Also, at the time of this writing, this feature is not available to all users. So if you don’t see this feature, please update the app and try again.

How to share screen during video calls on Instagram

1. Open Instagram.
2. Navigate to the user you want to share the screen with.
3. User video call.
4. When they reply, tap the Share Screen option at the bottom.
5. Tap Continue.
6. Select the “Start Broadcast”option. In less than 3 seconds, Instagram broadcasts your screen during a video call.

Steps to Share Screen on Instagram Calls

To stop screen sharing, click Stop Sharing or tap the red icon and then Stop. Your video call won’t end there, just screen sharing.
