How to get Dark Link armor in Zelda BOTW

Zelda BOTW has a very cool easter egg that allows you to play as Dark Link when you equip dark armor. He was first introduced as the final boss of Zelda 2 for the NES. But he also appeared in the infamous Temple of Water in Ocarina of Time. And the reason why he is one of the most famous villains in the game is because he knows all of Link’s moves. So it was never easy to fight him, but getting this armor became easier.

How to get Dark Link armor in Zelda BOTW

You can buy Dark Link Armor from Kilton for 3997 Mon. And most importantly, you also need to defeat all 4 Divine Beasts. Now you might be wondering who is Kilton and what is Mon. Don’t worry, consider this a side quest. Here is all you need to do for this:

1. Start by changing the time to night. Kilton only shows up between 9pm and 5am.
2. Fast travel to Zuna Kai Temple in Skull Lake.
3. Slide from here to the left eye of what looks like a skull. From above, you should see a cart with colorful balloons.
4. Talk to Kilton and tell him that you “LOVE monsters”.
5. You will now unlock the Fang and Bones Shop, which can be found outside of major villages or places like Kakariko Village, Hateno Village, Zora’s Domain, and more.
6. Find his shop and talk to him.
7. He will tell you about the currency he invented, namely the mon. You can earn Mon by selling monster parts that you collect throughout the game.
8. Finally, after you have defeated all 4 Divine Beasts, go back and talk to him and he will have Dark Armor Parts available. You can buy them for:
   • Dark Hood: 1999 Mon
   • Dark tunic: 999 mo
   • Dark pants: 999 bp.

Wearing this armor gives you a speed boost, but only at night. But that’s not the only way it’s useful. Its real pleasure lies in watching NPCs react to you wearing it.

You can now roam around scaring most of the NPCs you meet in your new dark armor.
