How to get instant access to your account settings for media and purchases on your iPhone

There are many ways to open the media account settings for your Apple ID on your iPhone, but they all require two or more steps. However, there is a hidden trick that Apple hasn’t told anyone about, and that’s not Siri.

When you tap your Apple ID in the Settings app, you can view some of your account settings with quick links to your subscriptions and default payment, among other things. But let’s say you want to view your account information associated with Apple’s digital media services, including the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes Store, Apple News+, podcasts, TV, and books. You have to go to Settings -> Apple ID -> Media & Purchases -> View Account.

You can also view your Apple ID account’s digital media settings in most of the aforementioned apps.

• App Store: Click on your profile picture, then on your Apple ID.
• Books: Click on your profile picture, then View Account Settings, then View Account Settings.
• iTunes Store: Scroll down, tap your Apple ID, then “View Apple ID”.
• Music: Tap your profile picture, then select Account Settings.
• Podcasts: Tap your profile picture, then your Apple ID.
• TV: Tap your profile picture, then tap your Apple ID.

These media account settings show things like:

• Apple ID (clicking on it will take you to appleid.apple.com to edit it)
• family exchange
• Payment management
• Country/Region
• Add money to account
• Present
• Ratings and reviews
• Personal recommendations
• Movies anywhere
• Subscriptions
• Purchase History
• Account access (to manage third-party services with access to Music, TV, etc.)
• Hidden purchases
• Newsletters and special offers
• And more

For faster access to this menu, you can create a shortcut on the home screen that opens directly to it. Open the Shortcuts app, launch a new shortcut and add the following actions:

1. URL (with “itms-ui:// “in the field)
2. Open URLs

That’s all. Then tap the name at the top. You can rename it and choose an icon and color if you like. Otherwise, select Add to Home Screen. You can also change the name and icon here, but this only applies to the Home Screen, App Library, and Spotlight Search, and not to the Shortcuts app itself. Click “Add”to save the bookmark on the home screen.

Tap the new bookmark and the URL scheme will open a modal sheet for account settings. You’ll need to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode to view your settings, or you may need to sign in with your Apple ID and password.

You can also assign a shortcut to Back Tap or ask Siri to open it if you don’t want to open it from the Home screen, App Library, or Spotlight search. With Back Tap or Siri, a modal sheet can appear on top of any app. Siri won’t open these account settings without a shortcut.
