Although their in-game name is Heavy Vines, it’s easier to call them Red Leaf Vines. In the story, you will come across this and find no way to move it. Since it’s blocking an important path ahead, you’ll need to get rid of it soon. However, you won’t be able to get rid of them until Kratos and Freya return to the same page.

While you’re trying to get past the red leaf vine in God of War Ragnarok, continue the story and defeat Nidhogg in Vanaheim. Once you make peace with Freya and she joins your team, you can destroy the next red vines you come across.

With Freya, you will be able to fire one of the Sigil Arrows by aiming with L2 and then pressing Square. As soon as the Seal appears on the Vines, use the Blades of Chaos and aim them at the Vines. Now all you have to do is press R2 and perform a Blazing Surge that will burn the vines and clear the path. Freya will provide Atreus with some Sigil Arrows, so don’t worry if you don’t get close to her and come across another set of heavy vines.
