How to breed and hatch eggs in Temtem?
To breed creatures in Temtem, here’s what you need to do.
- Visit the Breeding Center first, heading to Upper Omninesia. Not all players can access the Breeding Center, there are some requirements that must be met in order to visit it. Players can only access it if they have taken Narwhal’s Airship to Mirish after defeating Dojo Leader Arcissola and Sophia.
- After you get to the Breeding Center, go ahead and give your 2 Temtems to the man to the left of the counter. Give only those creatures that you want to breed.
- The breeding process can take up to 5 minutes if the creatures belong to the same evolutionary breed. If you have provided Temtems of different breeds, this can also take 10 to 25 minutes.
- After the process is completed, an egg will appear on the counter. You will also be notified when breeding is complete. Now it’s time to hatch the egg, which can take anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes (depending on the creature’s rarity).
Note. Players can only breed creatures if they have 3 or more Temtems in their team.
This is how you can breed and hatch an egg in Temtem. Before you start breeding creatures, there are a few things you should know that will surely save you time.
What you need to know
There are some things you should be aware of before breeding and hatching Temtem eggs.
- The game does not allow the player to breed Temtems of the same gender.
- And when it comes to compatibility, a creature can only be bred if they have at least one common type, like Wind or Water.
- The result of the egg always depends on the type of female. Thus, this means that the male species will not affect the outcome of the offspring.
- For those who don’t know, Fertility can be identified by the leaf icon located in the upper right corner of the creature’s profile. Each bright leaf counts as 1 Fert.
- This brings us to the most important part, where many players make mistakes and end up with low birth rate Temtem. We recommend that you only breed the largest possible number of prolific creatures. This is because the child inherits the least amount of fertility from the parent. For example, if you have a loali with 3 fruits and a wiplump with 6 fruits, the child will inherit 2 prolificities minus the breeding fruits.

What does a hatched Temtem inherit from its parents?
Here is a list of all the qualities that hatched Temtems have inherited from their parents.
- Techniques – Only hatched Temtems receive attacks, heals, and a few tricks from their parents. Players cannot hunt or loot these types of creatures.
- Traits – Creature traits cannot be inherited from parents, the game decides this randomly. However, if you have the required items, only then will you be able to have the desired trait for offspring.
- Luma – Luma works similarly to Shiny Pokemon in this game. The chances of hunting this type of creature in the wild are almost unbelievable. However, if you manage to get it, you can always cross it with other Temtems. But if only one parent is Luma, then the chances of inheriting the same offspring are also quite rare. The guaranteed way to get it is only if both breeding parents are lumas.
- Fertility. As mentioned earlier, a hatched Temtem only inherits the least number of fruits from a less prolific parent.
- Separate Values - The characteristics of the creature are based on the parents, but its quality is randomly generated. For your reference, we have listed all the inheritance chances in the article below.
- 20% chance to inherit the lower single value from the parent.
- 40% chance to inherit average single value from parent.
- 40% chance to inherit the highest single value from the parent.
That’s all you need to know about how to raise and hatch eggs in Temtem.
