How to reset all AirPods with or without iPhone

But, as you know, life is not always smooth sailing. And if you run into problems with it, you can reset your Airpods to fix the problem. Even if you don’t have any problems, it’s good to reset it once in a while, and if you plan to sell it, always reset your AirPods before selling.

How to reset AirPods and AirPods Pro

1. Place your AirPods back into the charging case.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Then open the cover of the charging case.
4. Open Settings on your connected iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
5. Tap Bluetooth.
6. Now press the i button.
7. Select Forget This Device.
8. Now click again to confirm.
9. Then press and hold the setup button on the back of the case while the lid is open. Do this until the status indicator flashes amber and then white.

For an AirPods‌ case that only supports wired charging, the status light will be inside the case between the “AirPods”. For AirPods that support wireless charging, the status light will be on the front of the case.

Note. If you follow the steps with the lid closed, only your iPhone will forget your AirPods. To reset all AirPods, you must follow the steps without opening the cover.

How to factory reset AirPods and AirPods Pro without iPhone

Even if you don’t have an iPhone, you can still reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro without any problems. All you have to do is:

1. Place your AirPods back into the charging case without closing the lid.
2. Press and hold the setup button until the status indicator changes from blinking amber to white.
3. You can now close the lid as the AirPods are completely reset.

How to remove AirPods from Apple ID

Even if you reset your AirPods and try to pair them with an iPhone that is associated with a different Apple ID, you may be told that the device is associated with a different ID. To remove AirPods from Apple ID, all you have to do is:

1. Open the Find Me app on your iPhone.
2. Swipe up on Devices.
3. Tap the AirPods you want to remove.
4. Now tap/swipe on the “Remove this device”screen. If you swipe the screen, tap the trash can icon.
5. Then click “Delete”again to confirm.
