How to watch Apple TV+ on any Android phone or tablet

With the prestige appeal of original programming and relatively low subscription prices, Apple TV+ is one of the most compelling streaming options—and you don’t need an Apple device to subscribe and watch Apple movies, TV shows, sports, and other content. TV+ content.

The addition of Friday Night Baseball, where Apple secured exclusive broadcast rights to two Major League Baseball games each Friday, made the service a must-see for baseball fans last season. And award-winning Apple TV+ Originals like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, KODA, and For All Mankind.

While the Apple TV app is available for Android TV devices, you’ll have to take a different route on a regular Android smartphone or tablet. The workaround requires signing in with an Apple ID and an active Apple TV+ subscription. If you don’t have them, you can go to tv.apple.com to create an account and sign up.

Step 1: Open a browser

Launch your preferred web browser, go to tv.apple.com, and click the Sign In button at the top. Apple’s website specifically mentions Chrome and Firefox browsers, but we’ve verified that it works on other browsers as well.

Step 2: Sign in with your Apple ID

You will first be prompted to enter your Apple ID and then your password.

When two-factor authentication is enabled, you will need to enter a verification code. If you have a trusted Apple device, the code should appear on it, but you can click “Didn’t receive a verification code?”if you don’t have access to it right now. For those of you who have never owned an Apple device, Apple should send an SMS or call your trusted phone number with a verification code.

After entering the 2FA verification code, click “Trust”when asked to trust your browser, but only if it’s your Android device, so that you don’t verify your account next time.

Step 3. Start browsing

You’re in! Scroll down the screen or swipe right through the rows of thumbnails until you find what you want to watch. Or tap the blue hamburger menu on the left to search.

Once you click on your choice, the video will load immediately. To view in landscape orientation, turn the device over. To enter full screen mode, double-tap the screen. Finally, if you can swipe up to navigate to your device, you will be able to continue browsing your program in picture-in-picture mode (assuming your device has Android 8.0 or higher).
