How do you throw a birthday party in The Sims 4? (explanation)

Of the many social events in The Sims 4, throwing the perfect birthday party is one of them. Also, this is the time of year when your birthday boy gets old. As in real life, you will have to plan everything before throwing a party. So how would you actually do it? Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Like other social events, a birthday party is also a targeted event. Therefore, you have goals after which you can earn medals. If you earn medals by throwing a birthday party, you’ll earn a unique item in The Sims 4. That being said, here’s how you can prepare for your birthday party:

• First, go to the Phone tab > Social Media > Schedule a Social Event.
• Next, select the “Birthday”part to get started. It will cost you 100 Simoleons, so make sure you have enough funds for this.
• Now there are several things here which include the following things:
  • Choose a birthday
  • Select the guests to invite to your birthday party (minimum 2 and maximum 20 guests allowed).
  • Hire a food vendor Sim to cook food.
  • Hire a mixologist Sim in case the guest wants a drink.
  • Hire a Sim for fun.

Make sure you have at least earned a bronze medal, which can be earned by completing the main objective. In addition, completing additional tasks will earn you silver and bronze medals. Here are all the tasks you get when throwing a birthday party in The Sims 4:

• Prepare a group lunch 0/1
• Let the Sims become playful at the same time 0/3
• Tell jokes 0/2
• Chat with a Sim on their birthday while they’re happy 0/1
• Congratulate the birthday man 0/4
• Eat cake 0/4
• Eat food 0/4
• Let sims listen to music at the same time 0/3
• Play a game with the birthday boy 0/1
• Drink 0/3
• Play musical instruments for 1 hour 0/1
• Have your Sims play games at the same time 0/3
• Ask an adult to make a toast 0/1

Once you earn a silver medal after hosting a Sims 4 birthday party, you will be rewarded with a Balloons and Banner object. Luckily, you can place as many objects as you like.
