Kaleidoscope takes a non-linear approach to storytelling.

While subscribers to the streaming platform Netflix will be able to watch the same episodes of the Kaleidoscope television series, the order in which they watch them will affect how they view the story and characters.

Loosely based on the true story of the disappearance of seventy billion dollars worth of bonds in midtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy, Kaleidoscope consists of eight episodes that span from 24 years before the theft to six months after it.

A team of skilled thieves attempt to break into a seemingly tamper-proof safe in order to collect the biggest paycheck in history. Guarded by the world’s most powerful security team and with law enforcement at work, each episode reveals one piece of a complex puzzle of corruption, greed, revenge, conspiracies, loyalty and betrayal.

The anthology series by Eric Garcia and Ridley Scott also features a non-linear way of storytelling. Each viewer can have a different immersive experience. Some will start with “Yellow”or “Green”episodes, then move on to “Blue”, “Purple”or “Orange”episodes followed by “Red”or “Rose”until they reach the epic finale “White: Heist”.
