Lenovo is working on a dual-display ThinkBook Plus: here’s your first look
Phones aren’t the only devices that have multiple folding screens. After creating a laptop with a foldable display, Lenovo is now working on a dual screen device. The device, dubbed the Lenovo Thinkbook Plus, was leaked on Twitter by renowned whistleblower Evan Blass. He posted a photo of the device showing off the concept, which is somewhat similar to the dual screen laptops Asus has been making for the past few years. The Lenovo Thinkbook Plus appears to be a 17-inch device, but the second screen appears to be larger than some of the screens Asus has made in the past.
Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Specifications and Features
As mentioned earlier, Blass’ tweet suggested that the Thinkbook Plus could have a 17-inch display. Unlike some earlier devices, Lenovo does not replace the touchpad on the laptop. Instead, the company places a second display next to the keyboard on the right side of the device.
It’s not entirely clear if this will shrink the keyboard and make typing difficult, but the touchpad definitely looks like it could be used. The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo’s second screen was 14 inches and had a 32:9 IPS display, but Lenovo seems smaller than that. Although it looks like the display is as big as many small tablets. This means that a lot can be done on this display.
In addition, Zenbook screens also allow you to share content between the main screen and secondary display. It is likely that Lenovo will allow users to do the same. In fact, the image posted by Blass shows the same image on what looks like Microsoft Paint and the secondary display. This basically depicts the pen being used on the secondary display to edit the image on the main screen. Earlier reports also suggested that the device would have an E-Ink display.
Of course, at the moment we do not have a price for the device.
