Like a Dragon: Ishin, remake of Yakuza Ishin
A hero from Japanese history ends the samurai era in Like a Dragon: Ishin.
In the 1860s, Kyo is suffering from widespread inequality, and the samurai will change the course of history in their pursuit of justice. As Sakamoto Ryoma, players will travel to a fictional version of Kyoto to find the killer of Ryoma-san’s father in order to exonerate him from a fictional murder and restore his honor. This will end the era of the samurai and change the future of Japan forever. In addition to being a parody of feudal Japan, Like a Dragon: Ishin will bring together iconic characters from the license such as Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.

Like a Dragon: Ishin is the first game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio to be powered by Unreal Engine 4, delivering stunning graphics worthy of the Yakuza franchise. Developing the game on Unreal Engine 4 gives access to new textures and other never-before-seen graphic details that make Ishin’s compelling story one of the most cinematic stories in RGG’s portfolio.
