The Pixel 6 line gets big discounts on Prime Day, with up to $200 off.
Google is offering deep discounts on its Pixel 6 lineup in honor of the most sacred of fictional corporate holidays, Amazon Prime Day. You can get a $200 discount on the Pixel 6 Pro, bringing the MSRP down from $899 to $699 and the Pixel 6 getting a $100 discount from $599 to $499. Deals are now valid on the Google Store (or Amazon or Target).
If you need a quick recap, the Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with 12GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery, while the Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch 90Hz display with 8GB of RAM and a 4600 mAh battery. Both have Google’s custom (Samsung) Tensor SoC, a new camera system with a 50MP main sensor, Wi-Fi 6E, and Android 12 with three years of major updates promised.
The upcoming Google Pixel 6a launch at the end of the month looks set to shake up the Android market in the US, and Google may be looking to sell off some stock before then. The Pixel 6a offers the same flagship-class SoC as the more expensive Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, but for $449. Sure, there are some trade-offs, like a smaller 6.1-inch 60Hz screen, 6GB of RAM, and a 4,300mAh battery, but it’s still a beast for a device for the money. There’s also the Pixel 7 Pro, which has already been officially announced later this year.
