LogMeIn will make LastPass a complete company with dedicated resources and many improvements.
If you’re familiar with password managers, you may be familiar with LastPass, one of the many such solutions out there today. The service is owned by LogMeIn, and the company recently announced that LastPass will become a full-fledged company. Explanation.

According to the statement in question: “By transforming LastPass into a full-fledged independent company, the company intends to increase its investment in user experience, go-to-market, and engineering features to accelerate its organic growth in password management and single sign-on. (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Customers will be able to see improvements planned on an accelerated basis in 2022, with the benefits of additional resources being allocated to LastPass.”

What impact will this change have on users? Probably not, but the claim that it’s all about “accelerated”growth with dedicated resources seems like a very good thing. The message accompanying the announcement on the LastPass website also suggests that we should brace ourselves with features such as more intuitive and faster authentication data filling.
According to the same post, “We are working on faster and smoother signup and completion, a smoother mobile experience, and more third-party business integrations, among other things. We will also be expanding our support channels to quickly answer your questions when you need help, and you will also get a brand new design for our website.”
Either way, this seems very promising. If you’re new to LastPass and are looking for a password manager, this might be an interesting alternative. To be continued!
