Microsoft is integrating DALL-E into its Bing chatbot and Edge browser. Artificial intelligence is everywhere or almost everywhere.

The AI-powered Microsoft Bing chatbot is great for finding answers, but now it can also help you create beautiful pictures. The company has indeed just unveiled a preview of Bing Image Creator, a feature that takes advantage of artificial intelligence to generate OpenAI DALL-E images in Bing search as well as in the sidebar of its browser. Just ask the chatbot to create an image with a short description or a repeat of a previous request.

The Redmond firm is aware that the situation can quickly spiral out of control. The company already explains that it has implemented “additional security measures”in addition to those of OpenAI. This will prevent, for example, the creation of “harmful”images, according to the American giant. Microsoft also explicitly mentions that these images are generated by artificial intelligence by adding watermarks.

Artificial intelligence is everywhere or almost

Image Creator is already available in preview for several Bing desktop and mobile users, as well as on a dedicated site. Edge users also have access. If you are part of a test group, you must enable the chatbot’s creative mode to try it out. However, in the future, Microsoft plans to offer this creative tool in Balanced and Accurate modes, as well as tweak the system’s behavior during long calls. For now, this technology is only compatible with English, but other languages will be coming soon.

Other forms of artificial intelligence will appear in Bing. The American giant, for example, is rolling out Knowledge Maps, which now offer “dynamic”quick information like graphics and timelines. Stories, on the other hand, offer images and short videos related to the topic being searched for.
