Microsoft will host the next Build event on May 24, 2022.
The Microsoft Build 2022 conference has been finally dated, see you on May 24th.
If you’re wondering what Microsoft has in store for the near future, more in the services and other software sectors, then you might be interested to know that the upcoming Build event in Redmond will take place on May 24th. The announcement was made right on the Build site.
Microsoft Build 2022 conference finally dated
As is often the case, it’s very difficult at this stage to know what Microsoft might announce during this event, as we don’t have a specific program and the American giant hasn’t (yet) bothered to do so. That being said, as XDA reminds us, if we look back at previous Build events, there’s a good chance we’ll be introduced to a keynote by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, followed by several tech sessions where Microsoft talks about upcoming changes and new features for services such as Windows, Azure, etc.
See you May 24
That being said, keep in mind that the Build conference is most often focused on software, like Apple’s WWDC. In other words, if you were expecting to see new product announcements regarding tablets, laptops and other smartphones from the Surface line, for example, you will certainly be disappointed (e), even if everything is always possible.
In addition, this event will be held virtually. If you hope you can participate physically, it won’t be possible. At least not this year. Due to the pandemic, many companies are still opting to host their press events virtually with pre-recorded sessions, and since that’s not over yet, Microsoft’s decision to host the Build 2022 conference isn’t too surprising. But who knows, the situation could change by next year.
