Microsoft launches Game Pass Friend & Family plan in two countries
Microsoft is launching its Game Pass Friends & Family offering in two countries around the world. Colombia and Ireland are served by the first two. I hope France will receive it soon.
After leaking last week, Microsoft formalized its Game Pass Friends & Family plan in Ireland, offering the same benefits as Game Pass Ultimate but for you and four other people at €22 per person. month. This is more than double the price of Game Pass Ultimate for one person (13€) or the cost of 4.40€ per person per month (if there are five of you). And what’s even better, this plan is not limited to members of the same family, the only limitation is that all members reside in the same country.
Microsoft is launching its Game Pass Friends & Family offering in two countries around the world.
At the moment, this package is only available in two countries around the world, but this may change very soon. “We are currently testing this proposal in Colombia and Ireland. More countries/regions may be added in the coming months,” reads a FAQ created by Microsoft.
Colombia and Ireland are the first two
Users residing in these countries who have Game Pass Ultimate will see their remaining days automatically converted to this new offer with the price difference calculated. This means that 30 days of Game Pass Ultimate will get you 18 days of Game Pass Friends & Family, and 30 days of Xbox Game Pass or Live Gold will get you 12 days. Meanwhile, 30 days of EA Play is equivalent to 6 days of Game Pass Friends & Family.
I hope France gets it soon.
In addition to being able to play multiplayer, Ultimate subscribers can enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Live, and more. Obviously, this Game Pass Friends & Family offer should have many emulators around the world. Now let’s hope it doesn’t take long for Microsoft to launch it globally, and especially in France.
