Collaboration has been on the minds of almost every tech giant these days. Of course, this includes many new technologies and features. And don’t think that artificial intelligence can’t help. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. At least that’s what Microsoft seems to believe, which is launching a Teams Premium service today with features enhanced by OpenAI artificial intelligence.

Following the recent announcement of a multi-billion dollar investment in OpenAI, the American giant is today unveiling a further integration of the company’s technology into its products and services. Microsoft announces that Teams Premium is now available worldwide. The service uses highly advanced language models based on OpenAI GPT-3.5, as well as other technologies that should help make meetings “smarter, more personalized and more secure,”according to Microsoft.

Teams Premium lets you create AI-generated chapters in PowerPoint Live and “custom timeline markers when you leave or join a meeting.”Live translations in subtitles are also available. In the coming months, Teams Premium will be able to automatically create meeting notes using GPT-3.5. Users will also have access to suggested tasks and actions. Undoubtedly, more AI-powered features will be added to Teams Premium over time.
The company recently introduced the Azure OpenAI service for developers, as well as a tool to help beginners create their own applications, and a graphic design application based on OpenAI technologies. Microsoft is also rumored to be working on integrating ChatGPT, the hugely popular OpenAI chatbot, into Bing.
