Midgar Studio is acquired by French publisher Nacon.
Nacon continues its growth strategy by acquiring Midgar Studio and adding new experiences to its video game catalog.
The creators of Edge of Eternity, an open-world AA set in a fantasy universe, have joined Nacon’s video game department. Located in the south of France and founded by enthusiasts of Japanese culture, Midgar Studio offers an experience that stands out for the quality of its production, which puts technical and graphic excellence at the service of player immersion.
“Being creative and at the same time technically excellent is a challenge that is both a feature and a hallmark of our team,” says Jeremy Zeler-Mory, CEO of Midgar Studio. “ We are very happy to join Nacon, who was able to understand and listen to our needs. Their support gives us the opportunity to realize our ambitions while maintaining greater autonomy.”
Alain Falk, Chairman and CEO of Nacon, adds: “It is always important for us to welcome a new team to our company without limiting their creativity and working methods, which are the basis of their success. Midgar Studio offers quality work in a segment that we have not mastered yet. By combining the know-how of the studio and our experience in the field of publishing, we will soon be able to offer our players new high-quality French titles. ”
