Marvel’s Midnight Suns: A collection of action and strategy in a dark universe

The tactical RPG represents a bold step forward in both Firaxis Games’ gameplay design and the Marvel Expanded Universe.

In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, which explores a much darker, supernatural side of Marvel, players will take on the role of a mysterious Hunter/Hunter tasked with tracking down and stopping the Demon Mother, Lilith, as she attempts to summon her former master, Chthon. Firaxis Games’ XCOM license connoisseurs will lead a team of popular heroes as well as lesser-known characters in turn-based tactical combat enhanced with an all-new card-based combat system.

Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum has fallen, monopolized by Lilith for a nefarious ritual, its sickly green aura radiating from the windows of the iconic monument, its gnarled roots shrouding its outside. Despite the best efforts of Doctor Strange and other powerful Marvel heroes, the Demon Mother succeeds in her mission, destroying the magical place and unleashing hell on the rest of the world. Players must now unite different heroes to stop the wave of demonic invasion and put an end to Lilith’s plan to summon Chthon and bring about Armageddon, fulfilling the Midnight Sun’s prophecy.

Marvel’s Midnight Sun is available on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store). Launch dates for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will be announced at a later date.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns expands its story with prequel shorts

Travel back in time to the late 1600s to uncover the tragic origin story of the Hunter, where a moment of weakness ended the world. Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts is a set of five videos created by the talented teams of Sun Creature Studio and DIGIC Pictures that show how Lilith became the Mother of Demons and how superheroes like Blade, Magik, Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru teamed up, to form the core of the Midnight Suns.
