Minecraft 1.19: How to collect lava
Minecraft is an amazing sandbox game that brings the aesthetic of 2D pixels to a 3D game. You can play in single player and create amazing structures such as monuments, various worlds, redstone machines, etc. To create such structures, you will need materials. Some materials are easy, like stone and wood, where you can get them by breaking their blocks. Lava, on the other hand, is not so simple. Lava is a liquid hazard that has some pretty useful properties. As such, it is used in many mechanical and even aesthetic designs. In this guide, I will show you how to collect lava in Minecraft.
How to collect lava in Minecraft
Lava is a liquid entity in Minecraft, and it’s one of the useful items to carry around. It behaves similarly to water in the game and can therefore be collected as such. To collect Water, make a Bucket of 3 Iron Ingots and then interact with it. The lava collection is more or less the same. Make an iron bucket and head to the nearest lava source. You can find lava on the surface in the form of pools or lava falls. You can also find the Lava Dungeon in ravines or cave systems. It can also be found in structures such as villages and fortresses. The nether world is the best place to look for lava, as it’s a near-infinite item.
Once you have found the lava source, go to the source block and right click with a bucket in hand. You can’t build a flowing lava block, only a source block. It will make a bucket of lava. This is how you can collect Lava in Minecraft. Now you can take it and spawn one lava source block anywhere. The smartest thing to do with this bucket of lava is to create a lava farm. In Minecraft 1.17, you can now farm lava endlessly. So take the lava bucket and place it on the block. Now place a dripstone on the bottom side of this block and then a cauldron under the dripstone. Now you have a lava farm. You can scale it up to generate as much lava as you need.
It was all about how to collect lava in Minecraft. I hope this guide has helped you.
