Westworld: HBO ends sci-fi series
After four seasons, the American HBO television series Westworld has been cancelled.
Centered around a technologically advanced amusement park filled with artificially intelligent hosts in a Wild West setting, the television series Westworld expanded its reach into nearby theme parks owned and operated by the same fictional dystopian society, then carried over into the real world. in all its futuristic glory. If the fifth season ends the story with a final return to the park, there will never be an ending.

Making Westworld was one of the highlights of our career. We are deeply grateful to our amazing cast and crew for creating such unforgettable characters and brilliant worlds. We were lucky enough to tell these stories about the future of consciousness – human and not only – in a short time before the masters of artificial intelligence forbade us from doing so.
Westworld series not being renewed

Over the past four seasons, Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have taken viewers on a mind-blowing odyssey, raising the bar with every step. We are extremely grateful to them, their incredibly talented cast, producers and crew, and to all of our partners from Kilter Films, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. television. It was a pleasure to accompany them on this adventure.
Based on the 1973 film of the same name written by Michael Crichton, Westworld was produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy along with JJ Abrams, Alison Shapker, Denise Te, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis and Ben Stephenson.
