MLB The Show 22 is scheduled for April 5th. There are no plans for a free update between the two generations of consoles, but cross-play, cross-save, and cross-platform are confirmed. Note that Shohei Otani of the Los Angeles Angels, also known as “Shotime”, is the ambassador for this new opus, in addition to being featured on the jacket.

Mangaka Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai, Batman Ninja) drew Shohei Otani in anime style for the collector’s edition of MLB The Show 22: “He is an outstanding athlete, displaying superhero skills on the court. What better way to bring these two universes together than to create a one-of-a-kind cover? “
