Moto Edge X30 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 144Hz Launched in China: Price, Specs
Motorola has just unveiled its latest flagship in the Edge lineup. Moto Edge X30 is the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 device. Along with this, Moto also announced a version of the phone with an under-display front camera. The Edge X30 features a 60MP front camera, which is the highest resolution selfie camera we’ve ever seen on a smartphone. Moto Edge X30: price and availability
The Moto Edge X30 comes in three storage and memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB. The base 8GB + 128GB variant of the phone is priced at 3,199 yuan, while the 8GB + 256GB variant of the phone is priced at 3,399 yuan. While the 12GB + 256GB variant will cost 3599 yuan.
The Moto Edge X30 with under-display selfie camera is only available in 12GB + 256GB configuration and will retail for CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,421). It will be available for admission from December 15 in China. As an initial offer, the brand is offering a 200 yuan discount on different options.
Moto Edge X30 Specifications and Features
The Edge X30 offers a 6.7-inch FHD+ POLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a maximum brightness of 700 nits. The device’s 10-bit display panel refreshes up to 144 times per second and supports a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. It is also HDR10+ certified and accommodates the front shooter inside a punch hole.
At the heart of the device is an all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core mobile processor, created using Samsung’s 4nm process and based on the ARM v9 architecture. It comes with an integrated Adreno 730 GPU and an X65 5G modem. It features a Cortex X2-based Kryo Prime core clocked at 3.0GHz, 3 A710-based performance Kryo cores clocked at 2.50GHz, and 4 A510-based performance Kryo cores clocked at 1.80GHz.
The Edge X30 has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device comes pre-installed with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS – Android 12 with MyUI 3.0 on top. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery pack and 68W fast charging support.
Moving on to optics, the Edge X30 comes with a triple rear camera and LED flash. The main 50MP sensor on the device is accompanied by a 50MP super wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens. The main 50MP sensor also has optical image stabilization (also known as OIS). For selfies and video calls, it offers a 60 MP sensor on the front.
The Edge X30 has a USB Type-C charging port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. True, there is no 3.5 mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 5G, 4G, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS. The phone weighs 194 grams and measures 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49mm.
