Can you turn off Atreus, Mimir and others hints in God Of War Ragnarok?

The puzzles in God Of War Ragnarok are difficult and can sometimes take longer than the puzzles in the 2018 game. Although Atreus is on our side, he can be quite annoying because he keeps giving you clues before you even have a chance to think about what to do next. Plus Mimir, Brock and another character do the same. This brings us to the question – is it possible to turn off puzzle hints in God Of War Ragnarok? Here is the answer and workaround.

How to disable puzzle hints from Atreus, Brock and Mimir in God Of War Ragnarok?

Unfortunately, you can’t turn off the puzzle hints that other characters say. We’ve looked at the in-game settings and there’s no way to turn off puzzle hints. The only thing you can do for now is turn down the volume and turn off the subtitles during the puzzle, allowing you to take your time and solve them on your own. There is a possibility that the developers may add the ability to reduce companion tooltips or make them more spaced out in a future patch. If this happens, we will update this section. But until then, this is one workaround you can try.

How to turn down dialogue volume and turn off subtitles

• Pause the game by pressing the Options button on your controller.
• Go to settings.
• Open Audio and Subtitles.
• From here, scroll down to the dialogue volume and turn it down or off for a specific puzzle.
• Then scroll to “Subtitles”and turn them off.

Now you can return to the game and solve various puzzles without any prompts from Brok, Mimir or Atreus. Of course, don’t forget to turn up the dialogue volume once you’ve solved it.
