MultiVersus: How to Play the Bruiser Class (Tips & Tricks)
When playing MultiVersus, you must learn how to play the Bruiser class. This class is home to the most characters of the same class in this game. You can play as Shaggy, Batman, Taz, Garnet, Jake the Dog and LeBron James with more characters coming in the future. But, unlike a Tank or Support, their role may not be immediately clear, so in this guide, let’s look at a few tips and tricks on how to play the Brute class in MultiVersus.
How to play the Bruiser class in MultiVersus
Here are some tips to help you get better at playing Bruisers in MultiVersus.
- Understand your character:
- I know this first tip sounds very obvious and can be said for every character, but hear me out. Bruiser is a class that sits somewhere between a tank and an assassin. Thus, the main purpose of this class is to participate in battles. But you can’t just pick fights and start spamming attacks. While technically you could, it won’t let you use your character to the fullest. That’s where their understanding comes in.
- Each fighter has several moves that you can use in the same way as another class such as support, tank, mage or assassin. Therefore, it is very important that you try each Brute, especially the characters you like, and learn how their moves work and how you can use them in different situations.
- Here is an example for Shaggy, Like move, Feed the Hunger. This is his special landing attack, this attack works both as a ranged attack and as a support move. Here, Shaggy equips a sandwich and throws it at the enemy like a projectile. Any ally it passes through will be healed. The effect of this move is even better when used while enraged.
- Synergy with your teammate:
- This tip is related to the tip above: you can choose your fighter based on the character’s teammate selection. For example, if your teammate chooses an Assassin like Harley Quinn or Arya, you can choose a Brute like Batman or Shaggy. The smoke bomb is one of Batman’s special features. This special skill not only grants you and your ally invisibility and projectile evasion, but also grants you invulnerability for a short time. Not to mention, your dodge meter also recharges faster during this time.
- So in the example above, Assassin’s teammate can focus on attacking while your fighter backs him up.
- Focus on combos:
- Your normal attacks are your best friends when you play as a Bruiser. The main role of this character is to fight opponents. As such, their normal attacks are designed in such a way that you can use other normal or special attacks to create unique combos. And the more damage you inflict on your opponents, the faster you can finish them off.
- And another tip is to learn how to dodge. Since you will be fighting for almost the entire match, you will not be able to constantly attack. Pay attention to how your opponents are attacking, study their attack pattern and dodge their attacks. Again, this sounds like general advice, but it’s more useful for the Bruiser class as they are at the center of most of the fights.
- Use the lab:
- Finally, the most important thing to do is to test every Bruiser fighter in the lab. This is a general tip that you can also use for other characters. But after trying out each fighter, you can decide who to unlock next. So as you practice, you will be able to understand the movements specific to your fighter. And it will help you choose whether to unlock them or not.
